I have been in Taiwan for one month. I worked for a school for three weeks while on a landing visa. I was issued a work permit 3 and 1/2 weeks into my stay. I was honest with my employer and told them I was not happy and decided to leave, thus breaking my contract. The employer was VERY upset. She then paid me in full with no taxes taken out, which surprised me beyond belief. My question is.. since I was working illegally, do I need to worry about leaving without paying taxes? She had me sign a pay slip that showed me not having taxes taken out.

Is it deja vu or did i see this question already? If you don't plan on coming back for years, i wouldnt worry too much bout it. Just say Hasta La Vista before you board your aircraft and you are likely fine.
