Offer - Very old (but FREE) laptop

Postby Nuit » 14 Apr 2012, 10:46

I'm retiring my Dell C610, bought in 2003. I think these are the original specs:
http://www.laptop4me.eu/PDF/DELL/DELL%20Latitude%20C610.pdf
Intel Pentium III, but upgraded to 512Mb RAM, 80Gb HDD, USB 2.0 via a plug-in Card-Bus.

It'll go for recycling, buy maybe someone here is interested. It's FREE, but you'll have to pay for shipping up front unless you can collect (Hualian).

I'll be wiping the HDD, although I still have a Win2000 install disk.
Power adapter included, no carry-case.

Known issues:
CD-ROM drive doesn't work
PS/2 connector is wonky
Battery doesn't hold charge
A few blue screens of death lately, don't know what the cause is.

Apart from all that (!), it's still working.

It's raining again here. I'm rising up like a beautiful bubble to the surface.

A wicked wind whips up the hill, a handful of hopeful words.
I was what you would call seriously strung out.

Hard-drive (and Win2K) now wiped.

This is going... going .... going ... to recycling.
