Taichung Vee Internet 60M/6M

Postby trubadour » 10 Jun 2012, 21:42

I applied to day for the 100M connection and was offered the 60M down/6M up deal for just over $9000 a year with three months extra free. They said that it was guaranteed to always be this speed, peek times included.

Is it possible to guarantee speeds like this?
Anyone here have any experience with Vee in Taichung?
Is this a competitive deal?

The question is, 60M to where? To the box in the basement, certainly. To the local exchange, quite possibly. Beyond that it's likely out of their hands and I'd be pretty super surprised if you got it internationally, Satellite TV's probable incoming SpeedTest screenshots notwithstanding.

That said, it sounds like a pretty decent deal. I believe CHT's 50M deal is competitive these days too, though not quite that cheap.
