Emails not appearing

My droid shows 17 new emails but will not show them. My Google account shows no new emails yet I know that my family sent some. The droid shoes they are they there but nothing shoes up on droid "no emails", yet indicates 17 new ones. Google also shows no new emails. When I spoke by phone to daughter, they were sent. I have rebooted both devices. DAMN! google doesnt have a "contact us" tab" I am at a loss. I know im a technogeek but this should not be a big issue. I'm getting inbox stuff but it isnt showing up on droid or computer. Any suggestions? Ive already done reboots and no satisfaction.
