sony repair

Postby kingoat01 » 24 Jul 2012, 16:35

I have a sony vaio laptop that i bought 2 years ago, yesterday my screen started having a large block of multicolored lines appearing. If I push the bezel in certain spots it would turn to another color or it goes away. So I know for sure that my screen isn’t broken, I went to a sony repair shop and the person said it would cost me around 9000 dollars to get this problem fixed. ONLY the cable had problems so I don’t get why it would cost 9000 dollars, I was told that the cable only comes with the screen and they don’t sell the cable by itself.
Cable at most cost 500 dollars, now they are forcing me to buy a brand new screen for no reason…
Can’t believe a big name brand is still pulling these kinda tricks these days…
Not gonna fall for sony's tricks, anyone knows a more logical solution? thanks
Also I'm never gonna buy a sony product again... the person i talked to on the phone was horrible

Depending on where you live you could try going to the Sony repair center in Tucheng, New Taipei City, very close to the Blue Line Yongning MRT station (10 minute walk)

I went to the repair shop in Taoyuan and i called the customer service both gave me the same answer.
actually the customer service doesn't know anything but kept saying whatever the repair shop told you and pretending he was helpful

Customer service is a call center, they go by the book ... they don't know your problem ... going to the Sony repair center will be a better solution. But it's a trip to Tucheng.

The shop has to make money too, they'll tell you whatever they want so they can make money off you ...
