Oh don't get so bloody moral about it. You asked for advice and I gave it to you. If you don't like it don't do it.

It's not really fraud if that's what I knew those people would write and I did specifically say that I was on good terms with them.

Thanks both of you, I will write my own affidavit, ask some customers to write recommendation letters for me and also will try to get copy of my certificate. Hope it will work.

I did the same for the simple reason that the company I worked for back home no longer existed. So I took the letterhead and mocked up a letter of reference. The beauty of it being even if you wanted to check you couldn't.

Rules are there to be got around.

plenty of people do, do it, that don't make it right or legal.
If some one uses my company as a reference without my knowledge and the call is made to verify, I might be tempted to add a few lines to that reference.
