The upshot of all this is that if the CLA want to interview me, they will have to formally ask the lawyer. This goes back to my original question, am I under any obligation to talk to the CLA? If I don't co-operate, what is the worst that could happen? They don't approve any new ARC applications when my ARC expires next May? I'm not really too concerned if they don't approve me next year as I planned to leave anyway- I just don't want to leave now. (I'm waiting to hear back from my friend if the lawyer has time to talk to me about these same questions but I think he doesn't want to get too involved-I don't know the lawyer dude personally and don't want to push things with him as he has already done things for me for free and this isn't his area of practice.)
Will post again if the CLA proceeds with this. Thanks for your replies. Cheers.
