Twin cab pickup

Postby feropont » 16 Apr 2012, 15:55

What are the choices for twin cab pickup in Taiwan? New is more or less obvious but what about used?
I always like Nissan Navara, but not sure if it's avail in Taiwan.
I know there are some offerings from Ford and Toyota?

Thank you.

An Isuzu Trooper twin cab pickup?

Toyota Tundra! That's likely the best twin cab you'll find in Taiwan.
You'll need a business licence for one though.

Wasn't Muzha Man looking for one a couple of years ago and ran into problems because they're classed as commercial vehicles and not available to foreigners?

Yes. I don't know he he got over this hiccup. Perhaps he'll be willing to share?
As far as the information I had went, it wasn't possible for even businesses registered to "foreigners" to register these types of vehicles.
Anyone?!

Think that was MJB, though I believe he overcame/worked around those problems and got a Toyota Tundra (or Toyota Tumour as I unhelpfully refer to it).

I posted some (temped) links in a recent discussion on a similar topic but they'll have gone by now.

As noted then, I recently saw a shiny new Toyota Tacoma twin-cab, so you must be able to get them as well.

Copied/edited from a PM, Not sure about those links but search should find the thread titles.

It could be that MM had similar issues, but I don't remember reading about that.

"Actually.......... I understand the Toyota Tundra is available ....here on the ROC.

MJB has (or had) one, and would probably be the guy to ask, both about that and about (US) pickups AND 4x4'S in general. He had some trouble registering it locally, as you might expect, described here:-

I could see on this photo: Image 2 Fords, 1 Toyota Tacoma at the Yahoo Tacoma 07 runs for 1.25 mills http://tw.page.bid.yahoo.com/tw/auction/b61569617 and looks like Honda Ridgeline.
And I think I had soon to register my restaurant as a business and my wife is taiwanese, so I hope I will bypass the above mentioned requirements.

So wonder if there are anything to choose from, but I never seen Isuzu Trooper twin cab
