Forum rules
We hope that the Living in Taiwan forum will be of value to you and others. To ensure this, please note:

It is best to capitalize topics and to avoid vague titles. “Hi, I’m new” and “Help please” are examples of bad titles.

Before posting, please check the FAQ thread, and – more importantly – use the search function to ensure that your topic has not been discussed before and that there is not an existing thread you could update with your contribution.

While Living in Taiwan is a busy, wide-ranging forum, there are other specific forums for relationships, teaching, business, legal issues, animals, food, events, travel, restaurants, and so on. Check the Forumosa menu to find the most appropriate place for your post.

While it is preferable to post questions dealing with dissimilar topics in separate threads (“How Much for an Apartment in Tianmu?”, “Are There Many Foreigners in Tianmu?”), if you are a new arrival, it is possible to present numerous questions in one post, but realize that your thread will then, after two weeks, be merged into the New to Taiwan: Some Questions thread.

Well, it's not really the Smashing Pumpkins, it's Billy Corgan, Jeff Schroeder, Mike Byrnen and Nicole Fiorentino, the new Smashing Pumpkins. NOt quite the same.

and since when do we need to add another facebook clusterfuck to our daily lives? What about a real page, eh? Be nice, Mr Carrot.

Nonetheless, I may deign to attend. Either there, or in Manila on the 7th. Hey, or maybe both?

Leave it to me to waste my time following the clusterfuck

I have them (https://www.facebook.com/VeryAspect.X) on my Facebook so when a new concert is announced I know it immediately. Seems to make sense to me.

And IMHO, The Smashing Pumpkins were ALWAYS about Billy Corgan. That's why people came and went. Cause he is a total ego-centric genius (asshole).

I think the word "genius" is overused when it comes to musicians and athletes.

On the other hand, "asshole" is underused.

Thank you Mr Vegan.

I shall try and book a brace of prime seats.

And Mr Carrot: no, not every one has swallowed the facebook Koolaid. Some of us still have some say over what and who nows what n our lives, and some spare time! Life is not lived fully nor well under a big blue f, after all.

OK, I jsut listened to some of Oceania and it's not bad at all. I'll have to go!

Yes, it is 90% about the Corgan, especially when he gets his gear on.

Which reminds me, I'll have to see a man about a dog in that case.

I never had a chance to see them in the 90's with all the Lollapalooza shows and what not, that era. Definitely interested in seeing them.
