There's a guy (I assume) in Xindian who's had his car (roof, sides, bonnet) painted with Iron Man graphics. Even here where painting is cheap it must of cost a small fortune.

The oddest plate / badge I ever saw here was one with on the left side a swastika and on the right side the SS marking - on a VW obviously. At least the guy got the origin right...

Thinking about this lack of classics/respect for the original design of the car, I was wondering as I saw a canary yellow Lamborghini snake its way though traffic this morning in Bali, that the seagull doors -the ones that open vertically- would be an acceptable modification here in Taiwan, given the tight spaces at parking lots -I'm thinking Costco here.
I extremely dislike ricers in Xindian, they like to "strut" -I'd call it drag racing, but they won't go fast enough. OTOH, plush toy decorations I find a greater abomination than any amount of LED -OK, I am tempting fate here- and I have yet to see an exotic paint job that deserves a second look, for good or bad reasons.
If you can stand it, I can put some of my collection of "I wouldn't be caught dead driving that, I'd rather walk, thanks" pics. Got some cat and other assorted animal interesting creations that eraseany doubt about creativity not being rampant in this area. I'll put them NSFW, or spoiler or something, for the sensitive stomach car lovers in the audience.

like, I was thinking: the possibilities of finding a real Impala/Challenger/Camaro that is not 90's here in Taiwan must be like 0.000001. But I bet you someone here on this Island must have a DeLorean.

Dude down my way has got a VW camper van painted out like the Mystery Machine. As much of a sad sack as the guy must be, it does lift my spirits every time I see him driving it to the supermarket. It's like, "Oh THAT'S what they get up to when they aren't fighting crime!"

Fashion is fashion, be it cars or anything else. It's retarded by design (a.k.a. has built in obsolescence) so that at some not too distant date in the future, you will need to embrace a new fashion. There are times when I would like to work in the marketing of some form of fashion. I'd like to see whether, if I got enough celebrities to endorse it, I could get people to walk around with gold plated dog turds hanging from their necks or painted on the sides of their cars.
