I just saw Jeremy Lin

Forum rules
We hope that the Living in Taiwan forum will be of value to you and others. To ensure this, please note:

It is best to capitalize topics and to avoid vague titles. “Hi, I’m new” and “Help please” are examples of bad titles.

Before posting, please check the FAQ thread, and – more importantly – use the search function to ensure that your topic has not been discussed before and that there is not an existing thread you could update with your contribution.

While Living in Taiwan is a busy, wide-ranging forum, there are other specific forums for relationships, teaching, business, legal issues, animals, food, events, travel, restaurants, and so on. Check the Forumosa menu to find the most appropriate place for your post.

While it is preferable to post questions dealing with dissimilar topics in separate threads (“How Much for an Apartment in Tianmu?”, “Are There Many Foreigners in Tianmu?”), if you are a new arrival, it is possible to present numerous questions in one post, but realize that your thread will then, after two weeks, be merged into the New to Taiwan: Some Questions thread.

I just saw Jeremy Lin

Postby PapaAzucar » 04 Aug 2012, 19:57

Jeremy Lin was at a sports shoes store near Ximen MRT earlier this evening

There was a crowd lined up by the blocked off procession lane from the street to the store.
There were plenty of people recording with their cell phones.
So the videos should be showing up on YouTube soon.

Jeremy who ?

Regardless him or the Emperor of never ever land, they have no right to jeopardize the safety of other drivers and pedestrians as witnessed in front of Eslite Xinyi when his car was trying to get rid of 4 mobile camera crews.
1 CRV even drove on the upcoming lane and the cop looked amused...

THAT non law abiding act will not be shown on TV as celebrities do carry an untouchable status here ( unless you facilitate kicking of a taxi driver)

Completely unrelated, but I can't believe he joined the Houston Rockets (my hometown team). We suck so much

I wanted to see him!!! :( And I am still stuck in the office!!!

You guys are complaining like a bunch of vegetes anquilosados (old farts). C'me on, guys, people are getting exited here about exercise, isn't that cool! Parents are looking at their kids' potential at becoming the next Jeremy Lin. Isn't that better than becoming buxiban zombies?!

And here, it is rare to have such a positive role model for Taiwanese, yes, pride of Taiwan and all that jazz. Most importantly, he's tall and handsome! :lovestruck:

But yes, the bodyguard business and this 007 car antics will get him in trouble soon, two days I give it before the press comes up with something about it.
