Two blonds eat their way throughTaiwan

Moderator: Tempo Gain

Forum rules
We hope that the Living in Taiwan forum will be of value to you and others. To ensure this, please note:

It is best to capitalize topics and to avoid vague titles. “Hi, I’m new” and “Help please” are examples of bad titles.

Before posting, please check the FAQ thread, and – more importantly – use the search function to ensure that your topic has not been discussed before and that there is not an existing thread you could update with your contribution.

While Living in Taiwan is a busy, wide-ranging forum, there are other specific forums for relationships, teaching, business, legal issues, animals, food, events, travel, restaurants, and so on. Check the Forumosa menu to find the most appropriate place for your post.

While it is preferable to post questions dealing with dissimilar topics in separate threads (“How Much for an Apartment in Tianmu?”, “Are There Many Foreigners in Tianmu?”), if you are a new arrival, it is possible to present numerous questions in one post, but realize that your thread will then, after two weeks, be merged into the New to Taiwan: Some Questions thread.

Watched a few minutes. I am following quite a few vloggers on Youtube these days, and there are lot of them who do a better job then these two. I think Mark Wiens introduced Taiwan's cuisine in a much more informative and enjoyable way.

We have a new website: http://www.taiwaneverything.cc. Check it out!

Read about traveling in Taiwan in Travel in Taiwan. Free online PDF version at http://www.tit.com.tw. Also, visit the Travel in Taiwan fan page on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/taiwantravelmag for all sorts of things related to Taiwan travel. Travel in Taiwan is also available as a free app for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android devices. On a mobile device, just go to http://tit.com.tw/appdownload.htm to get to the download page for both systems. The phone version is a work in progress. Apologies for any bad user experience. :)

Oh, that guy is funny. :roflmao: His facial expressions are priceless. Thanks for the introductions.

It's funny that the Taiwanese government keeps spending out surveys for how friendly Taiwan's signs are to non-Hanji readers. Judging by how much trouble the guy had finding his hotel, I'd say it's not friendly at all...
Don't confuse me with your reasonableness.

To make the problem worse, the hotels here do not look as normal hotels. Whoever thought about putting hotels in business buildings should be hung into a vat of molasses and then into a pit of ants!

First thing Icon did when getting off the bus in the darkness behind Taipei Main Station was drag herself and two suitcases down Zhongshiao in futile search of the hotel... same experience as the guy, round and round... to find the place's employees were out for the night, leaving me and my stuff sitting behind a metal door on floor 24th of a mall-like place, just like this guy. I had flashbacks looking at that plight... only saved by the funny stuff afterwards.

this video is crap. i dunno how you can endure these air head bimbos tommy, its just not possible for me.

love those mark wiens videos, he did an awesome job. he totally covered all the main foods and he has the added entertainment value of making weird faces when he eats. i recently went to jilong night market and pretty much just ate all the things he had in his video from there!

It's like the Taiwan tourist shuttles, which seem to be officially known as Taiwan Tourist Shuttle, but whose website is taiwantrip.com.tw, and whose buses have NO words in English indicating that they are tourist shuttles. You just have to know what they look like if you don't read Chinese.
