I couldn't find the original post for the Taiwanese girl who wrote this, but I just wanted to quickly comment that I believe I'm guilty of doing what her friends do sometimes (get really interested in dating a 外國人）

I live in China, but if someone says they will introduce to me someone who's Korean, Japanese, or Taiwanese I really get excited about meeting them. If they say instead they are going to introduce me to an America, an Irish, or Mexican I don't feel as excited. If they say it will be a local Shanghainese I feel fairly indifferent.

Maybe it's just me, but if there's a chance to meet people from cultures I'm really fond of I tend to feel that the person is more attractive than they really are.

I think a lot of people are attracted to something new and exciting. It only makes biological sense. It helps to spread genes more widely. We would be in trouble if people were attracted to inbreeding.

Thank god, now I can justify this behavior.

Oh wait, I got one more thing to say. When I lived in Toronto, I noticed a lot of white dudes with their non-white girlfriends (Chinese, Indian, black, etc.)... but then I went to live in Vancouver and... I saw just as many Chinese guys with white girlfriends. Unprecedented! I basically figured it out... in Vancouver, whites are 50% of the population and Chinese are just under 40%. Those two cultures dominate above all else... it is no surprise, then, that the Chinese man is stealing the white women.

How childish? Asian women don't belong to Asian men and white women don't belong to white men. The economy of dating might not be fair but neither is life. Get your game and stop complaining about people stealing your women. There are definitely some night clubs in Taipei where a white guy would have a difficult time picking up a local girl. On the other hand you can go to Roxy and girls will be after your sausage because of your race.
