MTG Magic: the Gathering in Taichung

Postby Tattered Flesh » 17 May 2008, 01:38

Just thought I'd write a quick post for those interested in playing Magic: the Gathering. We have a little group of foreign guys who play draft and Cube. We'd be interested in meeting other people who are open to playing casual formats and limited. We're not exactly tournament players, but we have a good time!

If you're interested in playing, feel free to PM me.

Hi there,

I know this is a late reply. I am interested in playing Magic. Are there any shops around Taichung that sells them? Cheers.

I list a shop I recently bought some cards at below. They told me that most people in Taiwan use English-language cards, so I bought a few packs and built a deck. I haven't played MTG in over 10 years, but I'm obviously looking to get back into it. If you know of any other players, please let me know when and where. <zakarius@gmail.com>

store near the Taichung Train Station: 台中卡通漫畫屋

The above store won't sell in bulk and won't give discounts. I think there's another similar store just next door, so I'll give them a try next time.

I am interested in play MTG again. I don't do the tournament stuff, too expensive, but have some good decks here with me. Unfortunately, I live in Taipei. I do get down to Taizhong on the rare occasion but only for a weekend or so. Does anyone here play in Taibei?

What stores in Taipei sell such stuff? I wanted to get my hands on some Chinese cards just for fun...

Haven't played in a decade either, but have good memories :)
They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them
