These things are a blast! Pain-free motorsports. I can drive like a complete ass and never get in any trouble. I'm in Taipei, anyone know where the good hobby shops are? where did that nice track from behind the Taipei airport go? Talk to me.

I'm interested. Some people run buggies on tne riverbank park in Dazhi. There's a paved public track in the park in Panchow too.

Head over to Ximen if you're in Taipei. There's one building just up the way from the Sony/KFC area that has an entire floor dedicated to hobbys and one of the shops has RC goodies galore.

I picked up a nifty little RC choppah at a shop in Global Month a couple months back. Just a cheapie heli to piss about with, cost me about 1600. Haven't had a chance to take it outdoors yet, but I've played around with it at my in-laws and in my flat. It's a bugger to get to hover, but for a first RC heli, it doesn't seem too bad.
You know you're Canadian when you can make love in a canoe.

Woo-hoo! I now wield a shoe! You will all rue the day I got hold of a shoe!!

I'll check that out, thanks. It bugs me that a lot of these little guys are made here and I can't find them. I've heard of this one and it's about time I get there.

If you are looking for a copter, you can purchase from Align's website, they are a taiwan manufacturer.. http://www.align.com.tw/html/en/c_rindexe.htm if you pay in TWD prices are pretty good. A few yrs back I got myself a TREX450XL, lot of fun.. not been out for ages.. ever since some eejit flew his jet plane into an apartment complex in BaiMa and the authorities dug up the runway :raspberry:
