Local Radio Stations Broadcasts in English

Postby PapaAzucar » 09 May 2012, 10:22

Are there other local radio station broadcasts in English besides FM 100.7?

Thanks.

Sorry about replying to my own post and bumping this thread.

But I remember reading somewhere (but now can't seem to find it) that there is an English radio broadcast by the US consulate in Taiwan, where they would post travel advisories, US legal changes, etc. for US expats abroad.

If you know what I am talking about, please post, because I hardly ever visit

Also, does the Canadian, Australian, UK, or other English speaking embassies/consulates have some similar notification system for their expats?

Thanks.

I guess that is Radio Taiwan International or something. They do indeed broadcast such stuff... usually around three weeks after its happened. But if time is no constraint? RTI is your man! Good luck finding the frequency, though. I never have managed it.

Radio ICRT? Do foreigners really listen to that English teaching service for Taiwanese?
I mean, whenever I hear it in a shop, I always hear American Taiwanese 'DJ's' (with extremely exaggerated U.S/L.A accents) that also sound OVERWHELMINGLY camp, and that apparently all love themselves way too much!

The morning shows are very good. Between 9am and 3pm the station is excellent. After that, well...

What time do you get up each day?

Stumbled upon this AM English radio station playing an entire Queen album and broadcasting international news in English.

Located at AM 729 on the AM dial.

 : Shih Hsin Radio Station 729

I am however a bit concerned about one of their programs :
Women Shaking shaking
I’m a dog shaped ashtray
I’m a shrugging moustache wearing a speedo tuxedo
I’m a movie with no plot, written in the back seat of a piss powered taxi
I’m an imperial armpit, sweating Chianti
I’m a toilet with no seat, flushing tradition down
I'm socialist lingerie
I'm diplomatic techno
I'm gay pastry and racist cappuccino
I’m an army on holiday in a guillotine museum
I’m a painting made of hair, on a nudist beach, eating McDonald's
I’m a novel far too long
I’m a sentimental song
I’m a yellow tooth waltzing with wrap around shades on

Who am I?
I am Europe
