If anyone needs any further proof about the nature of Friends and those who watch it, they need go no further than Vang Vieng in Laos (and then, of course, get the hell out of Vang Vieng as I did).

Never got to see it often, but, I always enjoyed Third Rock from the Sun when I was at meetings or visiting family in the States.

That was funny. I still haven't seen most of those. My favorite is where they sing Oklahoma in the diner.

Accent my tuckus, with the largest native English speaking population in the world (as India clearly doesn't fit the category), it's you inbred islander backwood swampland hicks who've got the accent, you don't see American singers singing with a silly english or scottish accent do you? and what accent do ALL movie bad guys have, even when they're Romans and Greeks!

Americans do have a silly English/Scottish accent with only slight modification.

Gut-dem foreigners, they're the same kinda people who think Jerry Lewis and Mr Bean are funny. Now The (british) Office or Flight of the Conchords, now they'd be funny on shrooms. Only great still running non cartoon US sitcom is 30 rock, and an occasional US The Office episode.

The worst thing about 'Friends' was that it was about a bunch of thirtysomethings who never got over high school.

There were episodes where the Friends remembered their High School days and the plot was about getting over some issue that happened during that time .
