Just got back from the Janet Jackson Up Close and Personal concert.
Not bad. Better than I thought it would be (I don't really know her stuff much but had to go because my boyfriend is gay and is into Janet).
No complaints about the show and the real fans certainly enjoyed it. The dancing (from both the dancers and Janet) was excellent.
I do have some complaints about the seating though. We had NT$ 5 000 tickets because we were too late to get the NT$ 5 500 tickets which are right in front of the stage. So ours were first row but off to the side, preventing a clear view of the stage and also being too close to see the screens well. Also directly in front of the speakers, ensuring that my skull vibrated throughout. The sound was certainly up close and personal. I'm disappointed that for a show where people are clearly going to want to stand up and dance, all tickets were for chairs. I prefer the most expensive tickets to be for a standing area in front of the stage. Keep the chairs for a concert like Bob Dylan's.
So a good concert, but I'm pissed off at NT$ 5 000 for shoddy seats.
