Welcome to Belgistan

Postby TainanCowboy » 03 Apr 2012, 09:07

Full title - Welcome To Belgistan -- The New Muslim Capital Of Europe

A video report on the changing face of Belgium.

Somewhere I remember seeing a % chart regarding how a country changes with 'minority' groups gaining in population - specifically Mohammedans.
Maybe I can post that later in the thread.

It all sounds quite reasonable, really. They're the religion of peace. Peace, I tell you. What could go wrong?

One sometimes gets the impression that the mere words "Socialism" and "Communism" draw towards them with magnetic force every fruit-juice drinker, nudist, sandal-wearer, sex-maniac, Quaker, "Nature Cure" quack, pacifist, and feminist in England. -- George Orwell

You mean the religion of pieces. A piece of intestine on the wall and a piece of brain on the roof after a successful martyrdom. :D

It's all very well you bashing Muslims, but I won't stand idly by while you imply that Belgium is a COUNTRY!!!
There are millions of people in the world. And none of those people is an extra. They're all leads in their own stories.

If you lose one sense, your other senses are enhanced. That's why people with no sense of humour have an increased sense of self-importance.

What a truly lame piece of propaganda that CBN feature was. CBN stands for Christian Broadcasting Network. It’s Christian Right evangelist Pat Robertson’s baby. Biased much?

The ‘news’ feature itself chose to highlight the most extremist Islamic group they could find – a group that the CBN feature, itself, noted was in conflict with more moderate Muslims – and made it’s firebrand leader stand as the face of Muslim Belgium.

A quick look at Google shows that in 2008 Muslims comprised 6% of the Belgium population. Another figure was that out of Belgium’s Muslim population only 10% were actually practicing Muslims.

That leaves us with a very tiny group of extremist Muslims who wish to enact sharia law in Belgium. A group, moreover, fighting with other Muslims. This is the group that Christian Broadcasting Network are trying to present to us as the future of Belgian.

Doubtless Belgium is having troubles integrating it’s Muslim community – every country in Europe is - but that CBN feature was nothing but shameful demonizing crap and an insult to the intelligence.

Dial, that's why stuff like this is best ignored. We see it time and time again when discussing Islam - take the words and actions of a very small minority (1-2% at most) and pretend they somehow represent the vast majority of Muslims even though that majority disagrees with and speaks out against the extreme minority.

Most intelligent people see straight through these attempts at propaganda, and likely laugh at those who do get sucked in to believing it.

Cheers cf. I don't think I'm quite as sanguine as you on the matter, however.
