I see the conservatives have taken over this sub-forum. I guess all they can do is talk. I don't have much to say to them. Except that I'm looking forward to their reaction when Obama gets re-elected.

Obama is a lucky son of a gun: first, to run against repubs after the economic crash, now to run against Romney, who - whatever else he may be - is no telegenic media star.
Not too mention his unfortunate medical insurance background in Mass.

Obama's also got quite a feather in his cap with Bin Laden.

I think that - barring some last minute sex scandal - the only thing that could sink Obama is if the economy nosedives. If there were some kind of European crash, which would undoubtedly hit world stock markets and also further slow the Chinese economy, this would hurt the US economy as well and make Obama look like "President Loser".

Yeah, you liberals love polls because they can be massaged in tons of ways and allow your side to shape the news by convincing everyone that the majority agrees with the liberal opinion. Notice how the only "polls" that ever get reported are the ones that support liberal positions?

Of course the liberal press couldn't stand the landslide that DIRECTLY CONTRADICTED THE POLLS SAYING HE WAS GONNA LOSE so they had to massage their fragile egos a bit:


The same thing happens when the "polls" say voters overwhelmingly support gay marriage and it gets shot down time, after time, after time.....even in Mexifornia, Oregon, Washington, etc.

So just keep clinging to those polls. Elections tend to be very different.

I'm going further out on a limb and predicting that we'll see a surge in whining by the republicans and conservatives. They'll trot out the usual bull about the supposed liberal controlled media, activist judges, etc. They'll be poor losers like usual, then go home and sulk for while, and we'll be able to breathe fresh air in IP once again.

I'm not entirely happy with what Obama has done. And I'm not optimistic that he won't continue to sell his liberal constituents up the river. But he's a damn sight better than the insane politicians and policies the other side puts forward. And, I'm excited to see he grew a pair, in continuing to bludgeon Romney on Bain and tax returns.

Obama's problem is/was that he's tried to be inclusive president and reached out to the opposition in a bipartisan way, especially in the first 2 years when the Dems had control. What could have been an opportunity for both sides to actually work together for the good of America ultimately didn't work because the GOP are more interested in themselves than they are in America. I can't imagine an opportunity like that (ie a president trying to work with the opposition)is going to come along again for a long time and the US will be poorer for it as partisan fighting takes precedent over strengthening the country.

So why is that right next to where the 'liberal media' 'massaged their fragile egos a bit' do we see: "Pres. Obama a socialist?" How does that play into the 'liberal media's' agenda? Regale me with your wisdom, I am truly curious.

Perhaps you could post another fake movie poster portraying some money grubbing elitist Republican stooge deep in the pockets of big business as a cowboy? a soldier? a real hard ass type? Let's convince all the 'folks' out there that he is one of the folkiest folk heroes who ever folked... Yeah, because the folks will gravitate to folks like that as oppose to the actually boring ass businessman he really is.
