Bringing Money to Taiwan

Postby Paman Gober » 30 Jul 2012, 23:25

Hi everyone,

Are there any problems bringing money into Taiwan when I move there? Are there limits to how much you can bring with you on the plane? Are there different limits for families and individuals?

Thanks!

There was an article in the paper today about how to avoid paying certain fees when changing money here into Taiwanese dollars. Here it is (Chinese): http://www.appledaily.com.tw/appledaily ... /34402783/

Basically, bring new, clean bills and try to establish a relationship with the bank before changing the money.
