If I may add my :2cents: , I'd say, from what I observed from my Taiwanese roomates, that they had so little hair in their legs that they just "forgot" to shave. They did not think it was relevant, not for dates, maybe special occassions, like graduations or maybe weddings. Otherwise, their reaction was like "what?". But then this is a younger generation that has never heard of panty hose.

Personally, since I am Latina, and I do have the Congo forest growing in winter, summer daily leg shaving is de rigueur. Down South of the Border, I am all for clean landscaping, but no slash and burn techniques, especially in this heat. That said, I do not know how anybody, man or woman, can live with a full blot of fur in their armpits in this weather. That's gross, unhygenic and definetively will stink. I am a fan of chest and back carpets, though, but I've seen things hanging from the underarms that I wish I had not seen...

If any new arrival needs assistance in Taipei, I can provide it in exchange for Star Trek or Supernatural (the TV series) stuff or other sci-fi materials. Let me know what help you need by PM, along with what you have to offer in return. And yes, I am serious.

You're right there, they only wear panty 'holes' ... either they are ripped or they wear these 'fashionable' things with holes in them ...

Lots of waxing and shaving means, well there is o place for your pheromones to sit (they get trapped in the hairs) so you don't attract as many men as you should. It is a fact, okay.

As far as leg hair is concerned, I don't know why it is an issue. I wax, yeah I do, but then there are months I'll just let it grow, I doubt the husband even bothers about it. Arm pits, ditto. Especially in the winters. In the summers I swim so I am more particular about hairless for other people's sensibilities :D that doesn't mean they care about mine!! And I am not that hairy to begin with so I've never bothered cleaning up my arms (or chest or back or face) but I do understand women who would like to. As Salma Hayek (for her frida interview) once said, 'to a lot of people romance means thin and no hair'.

Pubic hair and waxing?? OMG no. NO man is worth that much pain over there!!! Shaving??? Well with shaving, you constantly have to look for corners to scratch the itch - nah. Trimming is the best way to go. With electric trimmer, just trim the hair less than one fourth of an inch, so it's neat, lays flat, the skin below is visible, clean, no birds nest and you don't need to use a detangler, and your pheromones still have some place to park!

There was a poster on here a few years back who some others persuaded to wax his ball bag and crack. He loved it at first, but it was in the summer and once it started growing back he complained he was in sheer agony.

Anyone remember that?
Anyone remember the poster or the post?

It must have been about 5 or 6 years ago I think...
There are millions of people in the world. And none of those people is an extra. They're all leads in their own stories.

If you lose one sense, your other senses are enhanced. That's why people with no sense of humour have an increased sense of self-importance.

A question back at the OP.

A lot of my Taiwanese girlfriends would complain about Western men they'd like to date if only they had less body hair. They found it gross to touch them or be touched, and couldn't understand why these men wouldn't shave it off.

Would you shave off your body hair if your gf wanted you to?
