I'm a shorty at just 173 cm, but I was never short of ladies to keep me company when I was single.

I've always read and heard so much about the local ladies placing high priority on height and not interested in dating any bloke shorter than 180 cm, but if my experience is anything to go by, there are plenty of lovely lasses who attach much greater importance to other attributes than the length of a fellow's bones, and who are more than willing to reciprocate interest from a man who towers in dimensions other than verticality.

I'm 194cm or thereabouts and while I used to get comments like "wow so tall!", they would normally go on more about my nose (which is apparently among the finest noses, if you believe Taiwanese women).

I agree. How many Taiwanese men are over 180cm tall? It's pretty rare here in Jiayi.

I agree. How many Taiwanese men are over 180cm tall? It's pretty rare here in Jiayi.

Even at 170cm, I was a head taller than most of the girls I saw in Guangzhou and in other parts of Guangdong. I was wondering if it will be the same for me in Taiwan.

On a side note, I could walk anywhere outside of Guangzhou and be treated like a celebrity, literally, even on my way home back to Hk from Guangzhou--on a tour bus---entire classes of students on buses would catch notice of me and all wave in unison. I'd walk into a KfC, or sushi place, and I was immediatly the center of attention. Girls were stalking me, smiling and giggling to each other as they watched me. Everyone would say "hi" even in the restaurants. People wanted pictures with me.

My chinese girlfriend and I found this experience to be highly entertaining.

Now that I am single, will this happen to me in Taiwan? I heard from taiwan girls myself that caucasians are like diamonds to them...

The last girl I dated was a taiwanese and 2 inches shorter than me and my height was not a problem for her...

If you've got a sufficient armoury of attractive weaponry (looks, brains, style, athleticism, charm, charisma, wit, confidence, eloquence, class, a sunny disposition, taut buttocks, an eye-catching bulge in the trouser department, etc.), your height will be largely irrelevant to your success in the mating stakes in Taiwan.

I reckon that me being a caucasian will make my height largly irrelevent...in my opinion. We shall see...
