Do Taiwanese girls follow the rules?

There is a book written by two nut-ball women called 'The Rules.' It is supposedly a book of rules for women who are trying to find a husband while dating. Among the 'Rules' are: Never call him first and rarely return his phone calls. Always say 'no' the first time he asks you for a date and make him ask a second time. Never accept a date for Saturday any earlier than Wednesday, etc.
The idea is to seem more distant to men, so that they will be more attracted to you. They think that the less interest a woman shows in a man, the more the man will be interested in them.
My question is this; Do you think Taiwanese women follow the rules in this book, or would follow them, if they knew about the book. Or do you think there is no way a Taiwanese girl would ever behave like this ?
