Bingo. This is exactly what I was going to say. If you are at all serious about a girl, make sure to meet her mom. This is her in a handful of years. If you can deal with her mom then go for it. It seems pretty clear though that squats are easier for your bowels, etc. Not to be to graphic but when squatting you are done in a minute and with minimum strain.

But... then there's... diarrhea. Sit-down toilets have the advantage of acting like a funnel, catching everything that blasts out. With a squat toilet, a fair amount may well end up on the floor.

Which a bucket of water will take care of...but if you have a kid who let go before reaching the toilet seat, then cleaning up the bathroom is messy. We don't have squat toilets these days, but I think they serve their purpose.
