Is it safe to tell a Taiwanese girl you think she's pretty?

We aren't in a relationship. I've known her for a little while when she came to my country (I fell in love). Now, I have a master plan to win her over. Actually, not so much of a plan... I could be making a big mistake, but, I rejected a very nice scholarship so that I could go to Taiwan instead. Seeing this comment makes me feel unwell, especially since I'm almost doing the same thing.

In the end I don't think I will get the person I want, but that's ok. Taiwan is my true love in many ways.

Indeed that is the "danger" for many. When you come to Taiwan you discover that there are OTHER girls about. Tons of them and you may get distracted.

No woman minds being told she is pretty. Just be careful on when and saying it, so she doesn't consciously or sub-consciously feel you are stalking.
