What's "Asai"? Is it
(a) A Japanese surname which according to Ancestry.com means 'shallow well.'
(b) The American Society of Architectural Illustrators.
(c) The Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland.
(d) Arab Student Aid International.
(e) Something else?
If I prioritized the acquisition of wealth above other purposes in life, I might still have come to Taiwan to study Chinese, but I doubt I would have remained here.

She's an Asian with a poor grasp of written English. She's young. She's here. She wants a friend. She's not looking for a boyfriend. What the hell is so difficult to understand about that?

Roza, have you tried advertising for a language exchange? You can try on this site...

There are millions of people in the world. And none of those people is an extra. They're all leads in their own stories.
If you lose one sense, your other senses are enhanced. That's why people with no sense of humour have an increased sense of self-importance.

No classmates to get friendly with? Often times, school is the best source of close friends. What country are you from? Studying Chinese? Cool.

Your Korean and want to study English - here?
Why didn't you go to Cebu or somewhere else in the Philippines to learn outstanding English - as having friends by the dozens in no time?
Did your parents suggested it is better / safer to be in Taiwan?
