Where to meet local people?

Spoilt for choice, if I was in the market. This may sound as if I am some sort of adonis, but I am not, and I am not young. So I really cannot see what the problem is.

I just checked, the OP didn't mention it in THIS thread... Despite being a foreigner to Taiwan, he happens to look like the locals. So I guess he does not have the laowei foreigner bonus that you seem to describe, hence the "Problems"...

There you have it! You figured out the solution totally by yourself!

Go dress like some of the local boys: Wear a Gucci bag, get your hair into some cool anime style (don't forget to check/adjust your hair every 20 seconds on the MRT), wear funny Michael Jackson style shoes, and, if your body size allows, wear extremely tight skinny jeans. Oh, and a hat - unless that interferes with the hairstyle.

Bingo - Problem solved: A lot of guys will instantly start hitting on you

I thought we had covered this on page 5. Are you sure it is an advantage to be a foreigner, or look like a foreigner? If you don't look foreign, then you have the advantage of stealth. More Taiwan girls go out with Taiwan boys than they do foreigners. Take a look outside.

Stealth is overrated. It's best to approach your target from the front with a smile that shows you still have some good teeth. When I say, "approach from the front", I don't mean, "make a bee-line for her." The female human can scare easily in that situation.

I know I cashed my laowei-foreigner-bonus check years ago . . . It got me a woman.

What I'd like to know is how the OP dresses. You say you, "don't dress the same as the people here." That could be good or bad. Can you give us a better idea of what your style is?

Having less than perfect teeth suggests an approach from the other side, I suppose. It took me some time to work out what ni di guo, hao ling qiao di shuang shou, or something like that, meant.

How about some club/ dancing bars in some hotspots.
ex: Luxy, Room 18, Roxy and Barcodes....plenty of young ladies. (you'r allowed to drink over 18yrs old in Taiwan)

Girls are more easier to be approached and talked to.

Uh, I dunno.

You wear green with orange, blue and purple? Sounds like too much color at once. Try black with one other color and see how that works for ya.

And you feel so Chinese compared to the locals even though you are Chinese? Again, I dunno. Are you trying to out-Chinese the Chinese?
