I think you is confusing movies. Psycho's the one with the shower scene. The dramatic action in The Birds begins with Tippi Hedren being attacked by a lone seagull while walking on the waterfront.

Way to piss on my free-association-stream-of-consciousness-serendipitous-possibly-prescient-prophesising.

And picky, with it.

Watch The Skies

Yes, yes...The Thing From Another World....but this was a thing, too. A lone attacking winged thing.

When you're walking ever so carefully across the school playground surrounded by fahsands of them, just waiting, how comforting will it be to say to yourself "Ducked warned us, but his cinematic reference could be interpreted as slightly conflating two films, so we ignored him"?

Hey at least I'll go to my grave knowing I was true to cinematic history.

Pshaw!

Only if the verdict of cinematic history is that the shower-scene in Psycho qualifies as "seemingly-insignificant-but-strange".

Sorry, not a very good picture. Still looks like a cockroach to me.

This seems a new level of aggression.

I knocked it off and hosed it down with hot water, so the corpse isn't very well preserved, but I'll try and get a picture later. Still looks like a small cockroach to me.

Was it a light brown color? I got bitten by something like that yesterday. It startled me so I smashed it while it was still on my leg. Then I found out later that I broke off part of its mandible into my skin.

I think we have to consider the possibility that Rocket (extra-terrestial name association entirely coincidental, no doubt) is not a disinterested observer here.

Now that, Sir, is too much of a compliment to our Mr Ducked.
The prizes are a bottle of f*!@#$% SCOTCH and a box of cheap f!@#$#$ CIGARS!

Too many people! Almost all of the world's problems are due to overpopulation. The rest are due to religion.

50% of the world's wild animals have disappeared in the last 50 years. Did you eat them, or eat their house?

Here, saw this and thought of this thread:

Lo urgente no deja tiempo para lo importante. Mafalda.

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Eat the delicious food. Walk in the sunshine. Jump in the ocean. Say the truth that you’re carrying in your heart like hidden treasure. Be silly. Be kind. Be weird. There’s no time for anything else.
