After hours animal rescue

Tonight as I was walking home from work, I found a stray dog which didn't look too well.

Me and some other strangers stood beside it for a while, giving it some food (Yoshinoya meat). The strangers made many phone call inquiries about getting a dog rescue, but they told me they were declined by everyone as it was too late at night.

I couldn't hold onto him by his collar because he was a bit aggressive and bitey. Eventually he ran away into a nearby park and we couldn't catch him.

Is there any way I can handle this situation better next time? There's quite a lot of stray dogs where I live.

That's fine. Taipei County is our range, but Taipei City is OK too if one of the other groups can't help (or don't offer 24-hour rescue any more).

Hi Animal SOS,

I work in Zhongming Road in Xizhi and the neighbors shop next door (number 16) has a dog who recently gave birth to 5 or 6 puppies. The dog was very healthy looking before but since 2 weeks he's getting slimmer and slimmer. Of course the puppies take all his energies but the owners also don't seem to give him food. I saw her this morning and she is only bones and skin..she is going to die soon... is there anything you guys can do? It was really a beautiful dog and it's heartbreaking to see her like that..
