What triggers the "Small Black Birds from Hell" ?

Got attacked a few times on campus. They only do this from late June to early September. Some say they are more likely to attack men than women, don't know if that's true.
Don't confuse me with your reasonableness.

Today I forgot my helmet at home. When I noticed it was already too late to go back home to pick it and I started worrying about the Drongo attacks.
It turned out that without my helmet they couldn't see me. I felt like Arnold in Predator when he covers himself in mud. Th Predator knew he was there, but couldn't clearly understand what was going on. It was the same for me today, all the Drongos stared at me confused, some of them flying from a tree to the other following me without attacking.

I shave my head. When I get lazy and don't shave for a week it can grow a few mm and it's dark brown.

Helmet is glossy black, white and grey.

so do you think the "drongos more likely to attack people with black hair/helmet" myth has any merit?

Today I was wearing my helmet and they attacked...the mystery is far from being solved.

Has science gone too far?

Showers are evil! The flowing water saps your soul and slowly turns your body into dust!

After typhoon Saudelor, the amount of Drongos in my area has decreased by 100%.
