We do this. If it breaks, you just buy a new pump, or filter pads, or whatever. Simples.

Well, we got the drinking fountain. It turns out our cats are the kind that prefer still water. :roll:

As per Murphy's Law, the moment you typed that... one of ours broke. The newest one. I unplugged it to clean the filter -lots of small dead roaches- and it just went kaput.
