A Taiwan flash-sale site of American Baby & Kid Brands

Postby mamaky » 08 May 2012, 13:03

Hiya Forumosa Parents!

I wanted to let you all know about a flash-sale site that we're launching in Taiwan this summer called Mamaky (http://mamaky.com).

It's a limited-time sale site that'll be offering 65+ Luxury & Boutique US Baby & Kid brands this year alone. We've lined up brands like Melissa & Doug, Infantissima, Keekaroo, Alex Toys, Ergo Baby, American Terry Co., and Little Giraffe to name a few - all to be available through our site, and at US retail prices. Our shipping fees are much lower than you think too, starting at NT$200, and topping out at NT$500 for very large items.

We're preparing ourselves to be a full-scale ecommerce operation and a return policy matching that of major retail sites. Since we deal directly with the brands that we offer you, everything you receive will be in its original packaging, just as you would shopping in the US. Bottomline is, we're not a mom/pop run store, or an overseas shopping service. We're well funded, and taking parenting in Taiwan very seriously!

We launch this summer, and need all the help we can to hit a target number of pre-registrants before we can launch. So we invite you to come pre-register.

Thanks,
Johnny Wong

I'd like to announce that Mamaky's English version of the site is now live. You can find the language toggle at the bottom right of our pages.

For more about Mamaky, you can:
1. Visit our site http://Mamaky.com
2. Visit a collage of items we like at http://pinterest.com/Mamakykids *We won't reveal what we're going to exactly offer till launch, as the 'surprise' aspect is a big part of our business.

I'm happy to answer any questions through replies and PMs.

Thanks,
Johnny

Though we're late, we never gave up! Which leads me to announce that we've finally gotten to where we needed to be - just two weeks away from our private launch. Close to 6,000 parents who've already pre-registered, will finally be able to shop a ton of amazing Baby/Kid Brands from the US. Pre-register now to still get in on the private launch, as we'll be closing registration for a few weeks from when we launch.

So what do we got?
We're thrilled to host the Taiwan debut of numerous rockstar Baby/Kid brands - Mixie Baby (recently featured on DailyCandy.com), Beba Bean, 3 Sprouts, Urban Sunday, Wallcandy Arts, Manny & Simon, Tom & Drew Boys, and many many more (and I mean MANY more). We're also excited to have become retailers for Brands already with presence in Taiwan such as Melissa & Doug, P'kolino, Prince Lionheart, Aden + Anais.. the list goes on.

Anything else?
Whats the big deal? Accessibility and pricing. If you've missed shopping in your home country for all those Brands that are hard to find or too expensive to buy in Taiwan, we'll be able to fill a good portion of that void. If you just won't let yourself purchase an item for 45% more than what you could have gotten it for back home, we'll make it a little easier. We can't match MSRP, but we'll be pretty damn consistently close to it most of the time.

So remember, pre-register before we launch!

http://www.mamaky.com (excuse the pre-register site for when it crashes. we built that on a whim, and it has served its purpose a majority of time for what will have been a 4-month life).
