That is some very nice stitching there! I have a scar almost exactly like that in nearly the exact same place, except it cut my eyebrow in half, too. Got it at the age of around four and you can't even see it unless you look close. He'll be fine. You'll be fine. Until the next time!

Thanks everyone

The stitches are out now and it doesn't look too bad. It's still pretty noticible of course but the plastic surgeon said that the scar should fade given time. We're just trying to make sure he keeps the sun off the scar for now until it heals a bit more. Luckily, he likes wearing his hat so he wears it everyday when he goes to school.

Life is basically back to normal and we don't get too worried now when we see him running around being a four year old boy. Now our big focus is on the trip back home for the first family reunion in twenty years :) .

Gilgamesh, there's a lotion that a number of posters here, swear by for scarring. I forget the name, but if you PM asiababy she'll let you know about it. I am glad everything is all healed up!
